For small and medium-sized oil production enterprises, efficient operation and maintenance of oil extraction equipment are crucial for ensuring product quality and production continuity. This guide focuses on the operation and maintenance of the fully automatic multi-functional oil press from Penguin Group, aiming to help users optimize production efficiency and reduce production risks.
Before starting the fully automatic multi-functional oil press, it is necessary to ensure that all components are properly installed and connected. The startup process involves several key steps. First, power on the equipment and check the display panel for any error messages. Then, set the appropriate operating parameters according to the type of oilseed and production requirements. For example, the temperature should be set between 100 - 120°C for most common oilseeds, which can improve the oil extraction rate. Figure 1 shows the control panel of the oil press and how to set the parameters.
During the pressing process, continuous monitoring is essential to ensure the quality of the oil. The pressure and flow rate should be maintained within a certain range. Generally, the pressure should be around 20 - 30 MPa to achieve efficient oil extraction. The filtration process also plays a vital role in removing impurities from the oil. By monitoring the clarity of the filtered oil, operators can determine if the filtration system is working properly. Figure 2 illustrates the filtration system and how to monitor the filtration process.
Regular maintenance is the key to extending the service life of the equipment. This includes regular cleaning of the equipment to prevent the accumulation of oil residues and debris, which can affect the performance of the machine. It is recommended to clean the oil press at least once a week. Additionally, checking and replacing worn parts in a timely manner can reduce the risk of breakdowns. For example, the screw conveyor and the pressing chamber should be inspected for wear every month. Energy consumption management is also an important aspect of equipment maintenance. By optimizing the operating parameters and reducing unnecessary energy consumption, enterprises can save costs. The following table shows the energy consumption data of the oil press under different operating conditions:
| Operating Condition | Energy Consumption (kWh/h) |
|---|---|
| Normal operation | 15 - 20 |
| High - load operation | 25 - 30 |
Even with proper maintenance, equipment failures may still occur. Here is a common fault troubleshooting list:
